I have previously posted about a UK weather presenter Joanna Rice who was nicknamed The Weather In Leather.
Well it seems that Joanna has some competition for that title. RTE has a weather presenter by the name of Jean Byrne, who seems to have taken up Joanna's mantle.
I present the following videos as evidence...
...and as further evidence that she enjoys dressing up, here she is in a silver lame dress...
Hmm, I wonder if she is single...
A companion blog to the radio show, and a dose of life, the universe... and other strangeness!

Leather skirts making a decent comeback?
Fashionising has noted that Ashley Olsen (the second half of Mary-Kate and Ashley) has been spotted out wearing a leather skirt, and making it look good. The post's writer comments that he hasn't seen a leather skirt worn well for years.
Quite honestly, I'm not sure what he's talking about. Leather clothes always look good in my book. Joanna Rice, who I previously blogged about, was known as "The Weather In Leather" and always managed tomake leather look good.
But then I'm biased. I like leather clothes in general, which I can trace back to seeing Honor Blackman and Diana Rigg in leather catsuits for black and white episodes of The Avengers. Add to that the red leather dress that Emma Samms wore in an episode of Dynasty and you could say I was in love with leather.
One of these days, perhaps I should committ to the blog my "style rules" as I call them. They're not rules as such, but they are observations of things I have seen over the years that I like.

The Weather In Leather - Joanna Rice
The web has a funny way of allowing you to dig up things that you may have forgotten or had not known about. I found one such incident on YouTube, when we had a weather forecaster dressed pretty much exclusively in leather on Sky News some years ago.
Hopefully my HTML skills are up to scratch and the video in question should be seen above. If not or if you're reading this blog via an RSS reader which doesn't work with video, the link to the video is here.
This got me searching for more, and turned up this slideshow of other occasions when the same forecaster, Joanna Rice, appeared in leather outfits. There's one outfit in particular in that slide show which looks like a catsuit of sorts!
Again, hopefully the video slideshow should be above, if not, or for those on RSS readers without video, the link is here.
I did some further digging around. Unfortuantely I couldn't come up with an official site for her, nor an agent's site, more's the pity. But I did dig up this site, which has 10 pages of her myriad outfits for weather forecasting, most with leather in them somehwere.
I also turned up information about her here and here, which also has a limited selection of images.
It just goes to show, you never know what you can find on the net. Go forth, my friends and explore
